I was hoping that a setting on there could apply to all but it does not seem like that works.

You mean in the control centre under Settings? If you already have several, change it and reload
Then you will see that the screen moves there with every reload. This was introduced earlier under Sebastian, so that you always have a starting point or something

Yep, as the above post mentions, it relocates the view to that point when you load up the game
