I figured as much. However, they (the MCU supports) are keeping the triaged patients in the trailer from the previous MCI and not "releasing" the patients. So they arrive at the next MCI full of triaged patients from the previous call out, without touching anyone new at the new call.
I've also experienced this, I think it should let you transport with the trailer and have the escort of the towing vehicle like how in DE the ambulance will Transport and the doctor will follow.
Here is a recent MCI, with before arrival of support, and after. None of the names match. The MCU support keeps dragging the same patients call to call. I've deleted them and rebought them, doesn't fix anything. Seems like I'm the only one with the bug though cause no one I've talked to has experienced this.
I do see what you are saying and definitely your mass casualty trailers are bugged.
Mine release every patient to an ambulance on each mission. I do normally send a ems MCV to the missions along with the large mass casualty trailers.
This looks like a bug that needs to be reported to the Devs to be sorted - you can contact them via a "contact us" button on the FAQ page.
