So finally got a fly car, sending it when there are more then 2 patients, problem is they aren't taking any. I send a fly car to a scene and an engine takes a patient and the fly car does nothing, even after the engine can no longer give care. Can I fix this?
fly car not taking patient

I haven't had any issues with the Fly Car. Actually I am slowly dwindling away from them. But this sounds like a bad glitch to me. The Fly Car is basically like a Paramedic Unit, It treats a patient but not designed to transport them.
-
Exactly, but for some reason, it won't take patient from engine
-
That's odd. Maybe a mod can help with this cause I'm clueless here man. I'm gonna check on mine in case the same thing happens.

Just to be clear, your engine arrives on scene and starts treatment and only then your fly-car arrives? I'm not 100% sure but I think only the first non-ambulance unit does treatment, atleast from what I've seen

First Unit on site does Basic First aid then the ambulance takes over once they are at the maximum a engine or Fly car can do

Yes, I meant that I don't think the Fly-car would replace the police car/fire engine if they arrived first, but I'm not 100% sure on this

Oh yer no the Fly car doesn't take over it stays the first arriving non-medical service

A fly car is considered an EMS Supervisor or EMS Response Unit. Its a unit that is closer or responds to help in an incident. A fire apparatus is the one who helps treat the patient but does not transport. Only Ambulances can transport patients. Not a fire truck, not a fly car.

ok, so I just sent a fly car to a scene with 4 patients, it was the only unit on scene. It did nothing. I've seen then take a patient treatment all the way down to nothing if they need ti be transported, but now it isn't doing anything. Wtf? And why doesn't it take over patient care from everyone but an ambulance?

It will not takeover treatment from other vehicles as it is counted by the game as a non-ambulance vehicles. Therefore the game will only allow the first responding non-ambulance to start treatment and then only an ambulance to then work with the first unit to treat the patient. It is a limitation of the game. If you sent a fly car to a scene with 4 patients and there were already 4 or more vehicles on scene then the fly car will not takeover.
-
Yea,. Fly cars are not ambulances. They cannot transport. All they can do is treat if no other vehicles arrived first to treat. If a fly car arrives and it the only vehicle it will start treating one patient. When an ambulance arrives, it will take over the patient, but remember, if you have 4 patients, you need 4 ambulances. Hope this makes sense.

Perhaps a suggestion to change this might be a good idea. Fly Cars can treat 100% until an ambulance arrives unlike the other units who I think can only do 25%. There is an advantage to sending a fly car to calls with multiple patient in addition to the other non-ambulance units.

Fly cars treat to 90%, this is already unlike most other non-ambulance vehicles, however I think the function that's being requested here is that the fly car takes over from other non-ambulance vehicles so that the patient can be treated up to 90%

Yeah, that's what I'm saying I guess I just had the percentage wrong.

as I said, it was the ONLY unit on scene. So the fly car won't start treatment and won't take over treatment, what's the point? It should take over for a police car or engine, etc as they are higher qualified

You seemed a little confused, so I explained the problem. I do agree however that the unit should take over.

Something needs to be changed urgently. Like now, a fly car makes no sense.
If anything, it must take an injured person from another vehicle and treat it to 90% when it's on scene.
It's fine if the first vehicle on scene picks up the patient and starts treatment. If the Fly Car is there, the patient is treated up to 90% and not transported.
Ambulances will then take care of the rest and transport - that's right. But if the patient has been taken over by the fire department, first vehicle, and the later arriving Fly Car is absolutely ineffective, I do not need this vehicle.
Or a Fly Car can take over an automatic assignment of the patients in suitable hospitals as in the German game the ELW of the SEG with 3 days training as a condition

This is the part where different speeds for different vehicles would be really fun. All units do 200kmh except for the helicopters and now the large boats that do twice the speed (400kmh), if cars had different speeds it would be more realistic and fun, atleast in my opinion. For example, a fly-car would be able to do 200kmh, an ambulance would maybe do just 140kmh, an engine would do 120kmh and this way the fly-car could be more useful as a first medical unit on scene, this would be more notable in players who have realistic setups in areas with stations that have a considerable distance between each other.
And just to be clear, because last time I talked about this a few people miss understood and thought I was asking for different speeds for different roads, not at all, just different speeds for the vehicles
