When you set up your fire stations do you like to have them close together so you have quicker response times for Mutual Aid or do you like to have your stations spread out to cover more ground? There's some stations that I favor I want to try to even things out a bit so I can cover my entire County. In a few sections I have three or four stations covering one a town and other areas in my County I have like two or three stations covering several towns on its own so what do you guys normally do with your setup? Looking for opinions so I can better my coverage. Thanks
How do you set up your fire station coverage?

Same as @TACRfan - I have all of my stations in exact locations, playing with full realism (unless unable to do so).
I started with the main city centre, and am working my way outwards. While doing so, I make sure that I have sufficient units in the area before expanding further outwards. Say for example I am constantly waiting on battalion chiefs... Instead of just building stations with engines, I look around and pick nearby stations which are home to a battalion chief. That way I can cover the missions in a more timely fashion

So I cover London and Hertfordshire at the moment. In London. I look at the size of the station (realistic location) and guess what's in it, as no FOI lists what's in every station nor a wiki. And then I have a battalion chief at every station as a station/watch manager. In Hertfordshire, I found a complete list of what's in every station, so I work off that. In terms of MCVs and hazmats, I have one or two extras as they are needed, but that's just the nature of the game tbh; it's unpredictable.

If you go on the London fire brigades website they publish at least one full fleet list every year because they say they get asked about it so much.

I go by the station on Greater Manchester Fire's Wiki page, and by the units on my recent FOI request, with all stations realistically placed, to the nearest millimeter!

Fair dos man, i have all mine done by realism, herts F&R have all their units and station locations on wiki too.

An having one appliance (which is normal) at remote smaller stations in West Wales adds to the fun when you get larger incidents.

Yeah. It’s ok most of the time but sometimes it can be a bit difficult. If it’s been really busy I have shifted resources all the way from Lincolnshire temporarily to west wales to assist.

I've never got that bad though as i'm still moving up into Mid Wales from the West I do send lots of stuff North quite a lot for bigger jobs.

I have two accounts- Ceredigion and Greater Manchester. The Cereidigion account i will often leave for a while after dispatching units, due to the vast amounts of time required to get anywhere.
