The 2x credit is event is a great promotional tool, and can really give new players that needed kick to retain them.
Personally, I was able to use the 2x event to gain some needed credits for my MC-AU build.
I enjoyed it. It gave me the credits I needed to reach my next promotion.

I thought it was great. I took a pool of my alliance and 1557 out of 1800 liked it. Some players were not on btw

There was a 48-hour double credit event last weekend, announced through the Facebook pages for each game.
I personally enjoyed it as it allowed me to start LAS on my London account. I had 23 fire stations, without the ability to stockpile the credits i wouldve gotten slammed with 23 fire calls worth of medical runs, for only 1 ambo station. This allowed me to make 5 stations so i could kinda keep up.
I will say double credits are so much better than the coin calenders as you can easily make progress, whereas the coin drops dont even give you enough for one quint or rescue engine.
I wasn't able to play much due to work and when I was I had some lag issues, but I did like what I saw when I did play.
i loved it. Wish certain days you could do it. Helped me raise alot of creds plus the coin sale on top of that was nice and helped
