Wow people are kicking off over this. Realism is the way forward. I’ve never played a game like this that has so much realism. And that’s exactly why’s I’ve continued to play. Only suggestion for this is what I’ve done, add fire officers to most stations as that is very realistic. Where I live you can often find a couple of Officer cars at stations.

I think any changes to make the game more realistic is a good a thing and I welcome the changes made. I look forward to see more realistic changes in the coming weeks. Keep up the good work.

The whole purpose of the changes was to make the missions feel more realistic, it does not mean that you have to play 100% realistic.
Eg- My setup locations are 100% realistic with the base units of each stations being realistic but to cover shortfalls I have added a few extra units to a couple of stations.
Some players I know are completely realistic with units and buildings and they even get the real life call sign of the unit. So the thing I am getting at is you play the game how you want to play, if you want to be a player who simulates real life go for it, but if you want to be an arcade player who has 2 of each unit in each station then that is fine too. -

I'm doing Northumberland as well ingame, IRL they have zero (0) aerial appliances....
Until the game couldnt provide area realted missions it wont be real real1st option: travel an ALP from Newcastle (couple of hrs) lets say to Berwick

I dont know... maybe considering mission spawning by certain areas? It took 53 min for my units to arrive at the scene...

I think its a good idea to be able to draw your own area saying this is rural so rural calls wont spawn there, this area is urban so rural calls wont spawn here and this area is the ocean so only oceans calls will spawn here.

yup, something like this would be handy (or at least anchor real urban missions to urban areas)
btw in thic case i dont understand why the mission spawned: it's POI generated (who place an office bldg there!??)

Someone in the game spawned the office poi then so if you only want to use your own you can set that in the dispatch center.

Yes, im aware of this option; but would like to avoid it. It's handy that you dont have to place bus stops, schools etc

I haven’t brought this up for a while however I still think it’s a good idea.
My idea for it was to have a sliding bar with rural at one end, and urban at the other, the player would then slide the bar closest to where they think or all the way to the end depending on how rural it is. There would then be a button to tick that says “industrial area” so that would be for industrial calls

Do yu think we will get the option to draw zones on the map which we can then edit with the point you made above,
Like this from Cities Skylines, you can make custom areas with their own settings a bit like the dispatch center and having the custom interactive GUI would be really nice.

Love that idea.
Would work really well alongside another slider to set the call spawn radius for each station too, with a minimum or safeguard to prevent cheating of course.
