Foam update

  • Thank you I really appreciate that. I try my hardest to make this the game that I personally would want to play and I try to please everyone as best as I can.


    I’m sure a foam H4T is possible


    For the ATv’s, honestly I think we could probably get fire fighting ATV’s in the future rather than trying to change the swap body. I just didn’t want to include too much new stuff in what was already a huge content pack.

  • Same role as Salvation Army. Some services have their own welfare vehicles. BASU is for servicing and refilling breathing apparatus.


    It probably would have come with small stations if this small station expansion thing was ready but unfortunately it’s not there yet.

    I'm aware of that, but I'm happy it's likely to happen at some point (whenever that may be)

  • TACRfan, You could of just given us a bulk foam unit and call it done but no you gave us dual fire engines and BFUs, Foam/water carriers , multiple trio units Rescue CAFS( Rescue, pump BFU) , OSU( Hazmat, welfare, basu ) and even welfare unit to fire stations.

    Not to mention PODS somthing the community really wanted and incorparting foam with it to

    Just on the pod system, education and assigned staff.


    Just now I'm having to assign trained staff to the PM and not the pod. This although not disastrous is a bit of a pain as going to most likely triple train staff for the PMs as they will need Hazmat, Mobile Command and HVP if you make full use of the PM and pod system. My understanding of the pods are they are delivered to a scene for use by trained crews there and the delivery crew are unlikely to be trained in enhanced roles, especially as the PMs drop the pods off and often return to base to collect other pods that are needed or often taken of scene to free up space so the crew are not going to be there really. They literally just deliver and pick up pods.


    So wouldn't it be better to bin the trained staff requirements or change it to make it an additional education for the pod system alone?


    Or is it a game mechanics issue that prevents this and for it to work it needs to be this way?

    also will the hvp have a seprate use down the line

    As I said in a post above, the HVP may get requirements for things like flooding, but for major fires it’s players discretion.


    Honestly I’m not sure, I did just tell them this pod should have this education and then they implemented it the way they did so maybe it’s the only possible way with how they have done it.

    It was done on DE where the PM didn't need staff trained but you need the staff o/s of the mission but it doesnt matter what way


    Also i think it good that it is foam units rather then gallons it makes it so much easier


    I would also like to see arrs like Rescue pod Or Rescue Support unit or recue pump

    This uses a completely different system to the German version. They are not the same

    Greatful for the addition but just feel the education side is a bit messed up. Yeah correct courses ect for the pods (we'll excuse that there are pods missing certain ones as that would screw us even more). I can manage by training PM crews in everything it's just a pain really. Would have been better just to have PM crew drop off pod at scene to be used by the trained staff there, but hey it will do as is. We can work around it.

    I was going to suggest a flood pod with the Water Rescue update but if HVPU will be doing this then maybe not, it is a shame HVPU is mostly set to be player discretion but I understand the reasoning behind it.

    If we are working like British crews, the crews the are mobilised on the appliance are normally trained that specialist Pod for example, that’s why HVP crew arriving are the only ones to touch the pod and have dedicated kit as they are trained, same with command support & Hazardous materials. Once on scene officers can normally support with it as they have advanced capabilities but for your standard firefighter unless asked tend to opt out of working with the equipment due to them not being trained in that field.


    Hope that answers your question. Although I do understand your frustration with 3x training and hopefully we can arrange a middle ground that suits all parties.

    Thanks for the response but i dont think all my pms will need 3 trainings as I am assiging pods to certsain Pods

    well yes, but you wouldnt reassign the personnel before each mission.

    Or at least i wont do: once you need the HVP module, then you have to reassign the hazmat crew for the next dispatch with MDU unit or what?

    you can assign a pod to the PM and then assign staff to the PM that you assigned to the pod.


    For Example I have a Hazerdous Material Pod I assigned to a certain Prime mover and then I assign the trained staff to the prime mover
