I create a large scale alliance event (STORM). Dangerous Scaffolding, Unsafe Cladding, Road accident, field fire, person under tree, small wildfire and roof fire were the bulk of the mission with only three of them have to do with storms. Anyway, the mission lasts more than two hour but after an hour or so it gives you option to cancel the mission. It became so overbearing that I cancelled, and it said the mission was cancelled, yet it generated missions for the entire time

Definitely sounds like a bug, I would report it to the devs if you haven’t already as it can take some time to get a response.

It's going to keep generating missions for 3 hrs. They will disappear on their own after 48 hr if not completed before hand.

Then why does it allow you to cancel the mission?

Alliance Administrators have the ability to cancel a storm in progress and stop the event mission generation. I believe that's what ChiefBoden61 was referring too.

Did it confirm you cancelled the storm?
After you cancelled the storm, did box to "Cancel Storm" disappear?

Yes to both questions

Yes to both questions
That is a strange one then, I know we have used the cancel storm function successfully. The only thing I can think of is a lag-related issue. Perhaps you can contact support in the app support channel to see if they can find something.
