I think it would be a great idea because it shows that over time firehouses change. I know one firehouse it was a volunteer department they ran with two ambo's and then as time went on they downgraded the department downgraded to not running EMS anymore because of lack of emt's This of course took place actually on January 1st of this year, the department is located in Climax, VA. I wouldn't mind having to pay to downgrade houses but it'll be a great feature to have to show that over time the rigs a firehouse runs change over time.

I don't think this is something that needs urgently looking at. As Gavin said, it would involve a cost to do any work to decrease the size of a station. Decreasing a stations level offers you no benefit other than it becoming smaller. You can choose not to use the available garage spaces currently.
There will be no refund in decreasing the size of a building.

I'm guessing they either took the vehicles away and left the space which probably didn't cost anything or demolished part of the building which would have cost money, can't seem to understand doing a downgrade and getting money back makes any realistic sense.

Im not talking about refunding the demolished parts I'm talking about just demolishing the parts you don't want to use anymore I couldn't care any more about paying to do so.

I get your point, but the way I see it, your gameplay is completely unaffected by the current lack of this feature. Adding it would benefit very few people I imagine.
I'm not saying it's not an idea we are going to look over completely, but when we're putting ideas to Sebastian we have to ensure we push for the right ones who benefit players best and I can't see this one being considered soon merely because of the minor difference it makes.
