More station levels

  • I do agree that they shouldn’t remain at 100k maybe like 200-300k you can’t put a massive price on them tho.

Also being the 5th safest country doesn’t really do anything to how much police you have (in my opinion) it’s all about budget and public interest. You say about specialist unit and qoute “aside from special units like K9 and SWAT” so why would you be surprised about having 15+ Vehicles in buildings. Guess someone didn’t look at the rest of the world haha naw only messing. The UK is regarded “safe” to a set level, Portugal will be regarded “safe” to a set level. All areas have crime, it’s just whether it’s reported etc but I’ll keep on topic and say quite a lot countries in the world will have more then 15+ Vehicles in many of their stations in their country.

I'm just saying that we are the 5th safest country and we only have 2-3 patrol cars per station, which maybe is impressive to me
Aslo, the area where I live has some "bad" areas near and everyone feels safe around here, and cops do great work here
I'm not saying sometimes we don't have a few riot vans on patrol, which we do (saw one today as matter of fact) and a few years ago when your dear Barack Obama visited Portugal we bought a few armored trucks, which arrived right on time (months after the visit) and one of them was around here for a week or so escorted by 2 other Personnel Carriers with full blacked out windows (they looked so great)
Also crime isn't that high, sure, mainly because of the police work? You rob and you get caught or something like that xD
I've seen unmarked police cars speeding here too
My opinion is that "we" have done very good work on what we can afford, we don't have police helicopters (any), we have 2-3 patrol cars per station, SWAT isn't really a thing here since it's very rare, so mainly you see patrol cars, traffic units and some riot vans. But again I understand that around here not everybody has a weapon like in the US, which I find weird but US was "built" in a different way I guess

Anyways, I just want to know for those asking for more space in the stations if you are doing it just for creating the stations in a realistic way or because you need them?

Have a good weekend everybody

  • At our place in Poland, fire brigade units depending on the location are subject to municipal or provincial commands. These commands also have their vehicles. (if I find the time I will try to explain it). The police here also have a lot of vehicles. This includes vehicles of the road traffic department, prevention department, etc.

    Regards
I hope it can be understood;) (I use an interpreter)

You refer to civil protection units as command units? If that's what you mean we have those too. Some fire stations have these command units stationed at them, not many but some do

  • Again, I do not belive it would be the fact that it’s the “5th” safest country, Seeing that I did a little research and Acording to WEF (World economic forum) Hong Kong is the 5th safest according to a study last year.

However to stay on topic! going back to whether realistic or a need... Well my view point is, It really depends where you are based. I’m guessing the majority of players have realistic setups with that being said they should have the option to actually do that, I have Ambulance station which has around 18-21 vehicles in them. It’s clearly a feature people want, whether they have realistic setups or not. Since you seem not to have large fleet at designated locations you could just not take effect to the feature, like “some” people will, But for many many... many players, Expecially in the UK and further, it’s a feature which seems to be highly requested.

  • I want the extra spaces because I want to play realistically, I can’t see how this feature would harm the game at all, if you only have 3 vehicles at a station then only get 3 vehicles, why should those who want more not be able to get them because some places only have 2-3 vehicles at a station.

  • Please don’t let this topic get out of hand, it is obvious that this is something a lot of people want, that is why I have suggested it to Sebastian, I can’t see how this can be abused as call numbers are based amount of stations not vehicles, if players want to have each type of unit at each station then go for it, I personally would find that quite boring. If you only have 3 vehicles at a station you don’t have to upgrade to more levels but I can see if someone who has 30 vehicles at a station why they would want more slots. It’s just going to cost that person more coins/credits to purchase the bays and vehicles etc.

  • I agree about having more slots but may I make a much more simple less complicated suggestion? Build another station at the same location. It's not realistic but much more cheaper. The most slots I have so far is 9 or 10. Haven't had to go any further. And these are ARFF stations. But still I'd like to see this too in the near future.

Would it be a difficult change though? It would literally just be changing a number in a line of code, plus if I put lots of buildings down on one spot then a lot of calls will start spawning in just one area.

No it wouldn't be difficult to change and would make more calls but would also make more credits.

I can see Police Stations and EMS Stations built at Hospitals needing this unless there's a major Fire Department out there.

I see your point in this I really do and agree. Just trying to throw out a cheaper alternative is all. I'm probably gonna do this for my Police Stations based in Florida. I'd rather pay 100K for another station followed by 10K and 50K for three Police Units then 100K for one slot for a unit. Hope you see where I'm going with this.

I get what your saying but for me my police stations cost over 400K so it’s not that much cheaper plus I have noticed some weird things happening when multiple stations are placed down on top of each other such as calls spawning a lot further away etc so maybe the game doesn’t like you placing things down on top of one another

  • I said our stations around here only have 2-3 patrol cars each, I didn't say I built them in-game like that. I have 4 patrols + 1 K-9 and 2 SWAT per station (planned)
Also around here we have fire stations that have more units than the game can handle, for example, If I were to build the nearest fire station to me I would do 2 full fire stations, so don't think I would not like this either
