I don't know if I missed a message about a price increase for the fire stations, but both the small and regular fire station prices increased. The small stations used to be 50,000, and are now showing as being 150,000. Regular was 100,000 and is now 300,000. None of the other stations (regular or small EMS/PD) have changed prices.

As you get above 25 fire or police stations the cost goes up. My large FD is like $1.8million. EMS stations don't go up.
-
Price of the stations go up once you build more, once you build over 25 FD stations the price goes up. Think of it in real life standards. Your department has, say, 4 stations and you want to build a fifth. The price is going to go up because of supplies and because of insurance.

That makes sense, but I wouldn't expect the price to triple.

It does not triple its a “log” equation. It will grown exponentially to start off and round off and have small incremental increases. I will post the equation to use to find out what cost the station will be for your fire stations

The price increase for regular stations follows the following formula:
100000+(200000(log(STATION#-23)/log(2)))
Small Stations:
50000+(100000(log(STATION#-23/log(2)))

real life is especially in my city is they used the same plan for to build the last 8 new stations.. price didnt change at all!! they plan to keep the same design for 8 more new stations in the works. does costs go up.. for 2 things.. inflation and building materials but it doesnt go up 200%..but going from 250k for a station then 500k for the next in this game is totally unrealistic

May be unrealistic, but it has been explained to us that the more stations you buy, the higher the cost in credits. For example... I have been playing long enough and purchased so many stations that my cost in credits is $1,814, 298. The concern or displeasure regarding this escalating cost has been passed on to the content folks and the developers.

The more station you have the higher the cost per station: which doesn't translate into RL terms. You also need understand your in game income doesn't translate into RL terms either. The more stations you have the more missions to get plus bigger missions with bigger pay outs allowing you to have larger paydays.
Look at it this way. The price increase per station increases the bigger you get increases the difficulty of the game ( which of course is strictly a gaming aspect not RL). It also gives you the ability to earn more credits easier to help with the increase game difficulty ( also to do with gaming not RL). In the end this is after all just a game that happens to mimics RL emergency situations as best as it can with in the limitation the devs have.
