Anyone know whether PSU Carriers can transport a prisoner yet as I believe this was requested or asked about when the update first came out, but I haven't heard anything since.

PSU Carrier Prisoner Transport?
-
-
Not from what we are seeing.
It should really have a cell or 2 in back but doubt it will be added.
-
Which forces are using carriers to transport detainees?
-
The majority of forces public order vans will carry atleast 1 prisoner so 8n game it makes sense for it to transport 1 prisoner
I have attached a few images

Thanks.

Its a nice to have but in PSU situations the PSU vans are not transporting the prisoner.

This is mostly true, but 9 times out of ten the PSU vans are used in every-day IRV capacity too, and as cell vans for violent prisoners too. On top of that, not all PSU vans will be used as front-line vehicles in PSU situations, and may well hold prisoners during a large-scale disorder event. There's plenty of evidence of this in the media.

Also during Public Order Incidents, it. Tends to not be safe for police to transport those arrested in a Standard IRV (due to a violent crowd)

I have spoken in great deal with someone I know who is a level 2 trained offer.
This is what he had to say.
PSU vans are not used day to day for the following reasons.
1 they are a force resource that needs to be free should a public order incident occur.
2 (If using the large vans) they require a D1 driving authroity on a persons driving license and unless they have that d1 through training or grandfather rights then loads of officers cant drive the vans.
The only time they will use the van for a "IRV" sort of transport is if there are no vans free due to the above reasons. -

However, plenty of forces allocate protected and unprotected carriers to stations and response teams as well. Since we cannot assign more than 2 officers to an IRV, PSU carriers in-game remain the only way to simulate vans used by response teams.

In Kent I have seen this psus deployed to calls as the first unit on scene where police ks needed urgently like a stabbing or a fight so times even when a unit needs a van
-
And the MET use them extensively on borough for street duties.
-
The ones in the met are a specific team.
Just like Mersyside have the matrix team london has the territorial support group. Its not a norm though.

The carriers in game should transport 1 person in theory, however this could cause complications on missions requiring public order officers.
Also, although it’s called PSU carrier, it’s actually a protected carrier and these are used quite regularly, especially for nighttime economy roles etc
