Long term staging post. Warehouses

These could be used to store reserve/backup units or to store units far away so they can quickly assist alliance members.

This would still act as a staging post, vehicles still have a home station. It is just a more permanent staging area for storing units for longer times.

yep.....i get that....but there are also more recent posts and basically it was put forth that it is not going to happen... That was just one of many posts I found on the subject

An option would be to build a regular station and mark it "Not In Action", you would be able to store vehicles there and it would not generate calls.

You can't, but what you can do is assign it to a dispatch center and switch it to out of service.

even with one dispatch center you can still out the unit in the station and status that specific unit as not available in the edit unit tab. Status 6

I don't have premium and have 5 dispatch centres so this is either incorrect or a recent change to the game which hasn't affected my old dispatch centres...

That has no affect on mission spawning.

This is untrue, you can have multiple dispatch centres without premium.

Dispatch centres availability is based on stations built.

true....but he is just looking for a place to store spare units and not use them...

An option is just build a station and have the trucks off the run, I do this to simulate workshops and swap trucks around for servicing also everytime there is a Fire truck crash I take the closest truck to the incident off the run and label it crashed then move it to workshops and put a relief truck in.

Not sure if this has been suggested....but how about adding a Zoo and Theme Park to the POI list?
