I don’t disagree I do disagree with you but in the hind site that what makes it a good decision by mods to do it that way
Fire stations are too expensive when you reach hundreds

-
Not really - once you get to the point that the cost is high, you are making millions a day anyway.
For instance, my stations are around 1.7m each, but I regularly earn 4.5m a day.
So I can still build 3 stations a day if I wanted to.

But how many hours do you play? For the people who are only playing a little bit each day it is harder to get that kind of cash.

I share all my missions and send 1 truck I earn around 150k per 50 missions shared if I do it twice Thats 300k a day.

I think you missed the point
If you only play a little a day, you might earn, say, 200,000 a day. At that level, a new fire station probably costs 200,000, so you earning 1 fire station a day.
I play a LOT a day, and I easily earn 1.7m credits. At that level, a new fire station costs me 1.7m a day = still earning 1 fire station a day.
-
I Average 1 fire station every 2 days

You have the option of watching for the coin sales and buying coins and now it seems a lot of of the tasks that are there every day, give coins.. it takes a while to get coins saved up.....but you have those options

Yes, that's exactly what I do .... the developers are clever. The fire stations are only 35(?) coins, no matter how many you have. But the points keep rising. So, you get to a point where it is better to buy your new FS with coins, and use your credits to buy other things instead.
As you say, I don't buy coins until the specials come about. -

As you say, I don't buy coins until the specials come about.and to expand on that point -wait until the devs offer station builds at 1/2 coin cost, then build like crazy - then expand those when you can, and turn off the others until ready to expand

Coins keep the game available to us. I doubt MC is the company's cash cow. We're probably subsidized by some of their other games.
Like manfromcny said, taking advantage of sales, then 1/2 price coin days for equipment, are the key to getting the best bang for the buck. Usually, once a year, they offer a super sale that has a lot more coins than usual for the price. I always try to jump on that one and I will probably do one or two more per year. I'm positive no matter how much coining I've done, I've never paid even a quarter of the salary of one of the devs.

Not really sure where to ask this question and didnt really want to start a thread to get bashed on.
How is it calculated for station upgrades? Some of my oldest stations the upgrade costs are like 100k to go from small to large a new large station is costing me upwards of 700k. The more recent stations are costing closer to 700k to upgrade. Any insight on that?

The more stations you have the more it costs is the basic answer

After your 24th station of a kind that station type prices will go up. This is to provide a steady pace of progress, once you have such a huge income flow at those levels of play.
This is the current formula, how the price of the stations are calculated:
Building costs (in Credits) = 100000+(200000×log2(Number of stations−22)) -

Ok, so four small stations. Kohler is the oldest of these stations and has the lowest upgrade cost. If I have 100 large stations, and 100 small stations, shouldnt the 100 small stations all have the same upgrade cost until it is 101/99? Then all the small stations upgrade cost would increase the same amount?
