Forcing the use of new positions

  • It seems more and more missions are coming up with the requirement for personnel or equipment that are specifically trained. First it was the "flooding equipment" and now it is "traffic control personnel". you can't complete the missions without them. This seems a bit unfair to install these requirements in mission after the fact and make it difficult for those of us with large established alliances and set ups. After playing for 3 years, my set up is extensive and it would take millions of coins to train everyone across the entire state of Florida so that I can complete missions. These are two that I have noticed, what will be next? Imagine how much it would cost to get enough of these spread out in this set up?

  • If you do not have the extension activated (or the traffic personnel), the missions do not spawn.

I have never spawned a flood equipment mission as I do not have any flood equipment built at all.

In fact, I only purchased my first traffic services unit on Saturday, but I have never had a traffic services requirement either. (I only have 1 station with traffic services, so it would be few and far between of the requirement spawning).

  • Basically you can chose to have those specialised missions or not. If you have no trained personnel, the missions won't spawn. Its like a on/off switch. When you train even small number of people, the missions start comming and in, like you said, increasing numbes. So if you delete all your traffic control personnel, the missions that require them will stop spawning.

I personally have not decided to bother with the traffic control stuff at the moment, because it just adds another layer of complexity.

If you are looking to train all your personnel, I know you have your own alliance, but you can still Come join First Responders Elite! On the US server we have 60+ police training academies (thats around 2,400 personnel you can train at once) and many more fire, rescue and water rescue schools. Also, ALL TRAINING IS FREE. Yep, free! So of you want, come down and pay us a visit. We are currently second on the leaderboard, and climbing fast.

Theres a bug somewhere im getting these missions spawning without valid requirements with them, can you

    Escalate?

  • Goochy again no idea what my ID is

Here are several examples. Again, I DON'T have those extensions active or trained personnel in traffic control, but this is just a few of the missions that spawned and the numbers increase daily. I have to finish them with coins. Thanks for having them look into this.

The whole concept is just a way to get people to spend actual cash to get ahead the game developers are business and it costs money to make the game, the Game algorithms are trained you need personnel to complete the missions, it is no different than them making you send MCV and Haz trucks to jobs miles away so you get annoyed and then buy/build/train one on the area it is sending the missions. I have around 2000 buildings and its almost impossible to staff everything, so I don't do life guards or water rescue and I don't do rural aircraft or smoke jumpers. I would have to morgage the house.,

I understand the training requirements. But I started 3 years ago and have 1000's of buildings across the State of Fla and Southern GA. These "training" requirements were not in place when I started, but the need for HAZMAT, SWAT, ARFF, Airborn FF and others were in place, so you could get trained folks as you purchased new units. When they made the "sheriff" a supervisor all of them defaulted to having the required training. This requirement for "traffic" folks was implemented as an option. I DON'T have the extensions nor do I have the trained people and yet the missions are still spawning. According to EMS-Chief they should not be doing so, but I continue to have dozens of missions spawn that I can't complete unless I do them manually with coins. He was going to look into it

I have asked the devs to investigate, when I hear something I will let you know.

Thank you.... I appreciate the support. I did do some checking and found that I have one (1) station that I inadvertently activated that traffic extension, but i have that station set as not available and also reduced the spawn zone to the minimum allowed and even with those actions the missions that are spawning are hundreds of miles outside the spawn zone for that station. Same thing exists with the "flooding equipment" requirement
