Hey everyone,
Just thought I would get everyone’s OPINIONS on if other agencies WAS to come into Missionchief.
The idea sparked a discord voice chat a while ago for the alliance I’m in.
Things like, Recovery trucks (Tow), Highways Maintenance, Search & Rescue ect, If you have any other agencies you would love to see added feel free to comment.
Obviously it would be rare to get these added but just thought I would spark a convosation

I would love to see tow trucks in this game
While I'd love to see all of these things in the game, I'd have to say the only possibility of one getting added is the SAR. Mainly because this game is focused on the initial emergency response. Good ideas though

i could go either way on that. In my area if you call 911/local PD they will respond but the complainant can also call a roadside service on their own (ie AAA)
My FD responds for vehicle lockouts but i know that most tow agencies do it
Whenever threads go this route (which they seem to be doing more frequently...) I always come back to the fundamental question. Does your 911 agency directly dispatch tow agencies? I dont mean whether they call the tow company for the tow dispatcher to process, but rather that they are directly dispatched by a 911 dispatcher. THAT is the basis of this game.
The only place that I cover that runs towing is NYC. but honestly towing would not be a bad addition it might not be a first responder service but its not the worst thing that could be added tbh

I see where you are coming from, However yes granted this is a “American style” game however there is a lot of player base from Europe which unfortunately I seem to gather the dev and some mods do not see. However you got to remember, Some places dispatchers will communicate with tow etc to get it put in place. I was only doing this thread to spark a convo with members into if there was any agency to be added what would they added. My personal opinion would be regardless whether it dispatches or not, Tow etc have their own dispatchers. It was only to spark a convo however, not to cause any conflict but it seems that you instead are trying to shut down the topic on interest!
Yep. Tow trucks would be good to see. I also see that you said ‘Search & Rescue etc’ in your original post. Tow trucks may not be a First Responder but they definitely assist in their jobs massively.
Regarding the Search and Rescue, I’m aware that Fire Service can do this (UK anyway) with Urban Search and Rescue. Additionally though, there are ‘other agencies’ that do this job. This includes: Lowland Search and Rescue, Mountain Rescue, Cave Rescue etc.
What is everyone’s opinions on the addition of this? I’m fairly sure the US with have some kind of equivalent to this?

More like mountain rescue and such? I'd love to see those since the one similar thing we have is the "stuck climber" mission which I think it was in a building? I can't remember exactly what the update said
It’s more for a stuck urban explorer that has got stuck up a building or mast etc

I precisely said that some dispatchers make calls to the tow companies but the tow units aren’t emergency responders unless in an extreme case. By the way, Sebastian (the developer) lives in Germany and has to translate everything we say to him, so I would have to say he understand European emergency services. He is also the developer of German and Dutch versions of MissionChief.
