Fire Investigation for UK?

    so i am wondering since FIU/Fire Marshals were added to the US branch can we expect Fire investigation/Prevention to be added to the UK branch. I can personally confirm that almost all of the fire services in the UK have a fire prevention unit. West Yorkshire Fire Rescue have 3 fire stations plus the safety centre with over 40 plus FIU vehicles. Every incident that has ever happened in wyfrs have fire prevention for public safety. Can we see fire prevention soon because for Christmas all i want for uk branch is as follows.

    you do realize we are only getting foam to end the year defiently not all that,

    We have just over 1 and a half months left till the new year. There is absolutely no way we would be able to get that much added in a regular content pack let alone one in as little time as we have.


    As mentioned, the next pack will be foam. I won’t tell you what’s coming in this pack but know that it will be comprehensive.


    To go through your points one by one though.


    Water System


    Won’t be added, not in depth enough with no way of the game knowing suitable open water sources, shuttling, hydrants. Does not work in a game like this.

    Foam System


    Hopefully by end of year.

    Prime Movers


    Would be a nice addition and is planned very near the top of fire updates

    Water Rescue


    We don’t want it to be a copy paste of US which is why it’s on hold at the moment until other aspects of the game are pushed out.

    USAR


    Near the top of the fire updates. Prime movers more important though.

    Mountain Rescue


    What I class as a tier 2 service so won’t be added until main 3 are properly set (ambulance is already done)

    Wildfire Unit


    L4P already exists

    Fire Investigation Unit


    Quite near the bottom of fire updates as way more important vehicles to add first.

    Royal National Lifeboat Institution


    What I class as a tier 2 service so won’t be added until main 3 are properly set (ambulance is already done)

    Coast Guard

    What I class as a tier 2 service so won’t be added until main 3 are properly set (ambulance is already done)

    Life Guards

    As above but possible even further down.


    More Fire Pumping Appliances etc:

    Major/Medium/Light Rescue Pump

    Wildfire Pump

    Heavy Rescue Pump

    Water Tender


    There is no point in adding any of these, just rename the vehicles that are in the game. They would serve 0 purpose on top of what we already have. Services just call there vehicles different things.


    Unless we can make it a combination unit, then we already have a pumping appliance and a more rescue focused pumping appliance.

    You mentioned Prime Mover is near the top of the list for fire vehicles, is there any idea of how many modules/pods will be available? Will some of these be completely new features or replicate others (such as the already confirmed foam, stuff like HazMat, and USAR which was also mentioned above). And of course, there's a high chance all of this is quite up in the air with foam implementation and other features taking main priority.

    Initially I’d just want to get pods in, they may just be pod versions of existing units but it will as a core.


    I then visualise two separate updates later on down the line. USAR which will include everything USAR related. And then a Hazardous materials expansion which would separate Mass decontamination from environmental protection and add in other specialist units. These updates would be too big to role into one as well as prime movers and core pods.


    Things like HVP probably initially would only work as a water carrier due to there being no way for the game to know if there is a suitable HVP water source within 3km of the incident (or further if you are chaining multiple together.

    this would/could work really well especially if you add vehicles that are not in game already such as OSUs and even stuff like the HART Polaris Carrier on a Pod

    You already have the HART pod carrier its the ATV carrier and I very much doubt it will change as most ambulance services either A) have just that pod and B) are being changed to rigid trucks which have no pod at all.

    For the reasons stated above the HART carrier will not be made into a hook lift. It doesn’t transport anything other than that pod and the new carriers that teams are getting are rigid vehicles

    thank you for the feed back man tbh even if like 2 of those things come ill be happy but ill say this water system would be nice and i understand the struggle with hydrants and that so defo expect it at some point but not for like a year or two. but defiantly happy to hear foam is coming
