New player here. How important is it to add POI's in the game? If this is needed is there an easier way to add them that adding each individual one?

it was a process when I did mine, I went through and added them to every school in Los Angeles city every hospital all sporting center's, nearly every shopping center and strip malls, Theaters, I'm not even halfway done but everyone in my alliance I am in loves it I share almost all my calls and they are large ones due to the POI's. I've had some that payout 15k-25k in credits each.

Theres a setting in your dispatch to use POIs set by other people (I believe this means alliance members but could be wrong), this means you personally don't have to place POIs.
However, it does mean if people are placing them unrealistically, that will carry over into your missions spawning. So, its up to you if you want to do this.

Setting POI's create new missions for example if you build the "bus stop" poi you will get the bin fire mission.

Why does the Bin Fire need that POI on UK it dosent and spawns anywhere because bins can be anywhere in a city not just at Bus stops

It’s just the way that mission was added 6+ years ago and has never been changed

I’ve never really got POIs. My setup is way to big to add them in. I’d be sat here for months doing it. But it doesn’t seem to have any affect on my missions. I get plenty of large scale missions and variety of all. Does it really make a difference??

If you dont have POIs, and don't have it selected to use other peoples, there are a lot of missions you wont be able to spawn at all. It does make a big difference to the game, but ultimately, unless you care about the POI specific missions, it doesn't matter.
See: https://www.missionchief.co.uk/einsaetze and look at the "place" column, this shows all the POIs required for each mission. If the mission is green, you can spawn it, grey you cannot.

Thanks Scotty. I have just checked and all my possible missions are ‘green’. That’s what I don’t really understand, Every single mission that’s on that list I get without any POIs set.

You must have the setting enabled to "Use others POIs"!Correction! That page doesn't count POI requirements!! My bad!

The ingame map (not the apple one) has the option to access a POI database to save us having to add them manually
I think there was talk of enabling that but evidently it has not happened yet.
